Key fob and battery drain

I've got a 2022 and noticed the battery drained overnight a couple times, only thing I did differently was leave the key fob in the car. Didn't think it'd be a big deal, but now I'm wondering if that's what caused it. Anyone relate? starting to think I should just keep the fob out of the cabin at night.

Try keeping the fob out of the car overnight. It will most likely resolve your mystery battery drain!

Yep, leaving the key fob inside the car can drain the battery overnight, its a common issue with newer cars. You can try tho keeping it outside the cabin at night and see if that stops the drain.

Yes I agree with @FreezO here, when you leave the fob in the car it kinda keeps the system half-awake and will DEFINITELY pull power. I started parking mine further away at night and haven't had an issue since. Just a tiny bit of a hassle for me.

Its because the system keeps communicating with it still. It's a pretty common issue. Have you checked if your car has a setting to disable key fob detection or sleep mode to help with this?
