I'm looking to setup roof racks for carrying kayaks and I'm interested on crossbar brands that won't restrict the sunroof. Any thoughts on Yakima or Rhino-Rack options?

So I helped out a friend with this, and the Yakima CoreBars worked pretty well even with the sunroof open. The Rhino-Rack's Vortex is a little taller, but it might still fit, just double-check the height of the bars against how far the sunroof opens. A little precaution goes a long way

Do you plan to open the sunroof while the kayaks are mounted, or just want clearance when the racks are empty?

yep, both Yakima and Rhino-Rack are top-tier brands, so you can't really go wrong with either.
one tip from me is to go to their websites and use their 'Fit My Vehicle' tools. This will show you exactly which parts are guaranteed to work with your specific car, and they'll often highlight options that provide maximum sunroof clearance

@Extra-Dressing90 For sunroof clearance, Yakima CoreBars are usually your safest bet. They sit lower and still let the sunroof open. Rhino-Rack Vortex bars are a bit taller but can work if you double-check the height. Definitely use the “Fit My Vehicle” tools on their sites to confirm which crossbars give you max clearance.
