Any of you got the April 2025 infotainment update?

I was called by my dealer for this April 2025 infotainment update (I had my 2025 Tucson Limited just last March) lol so I didn't appreciate this sense of urgency or something. I don't appreciate it more because there seems to be no reason or any info regarding the update! If you got some idea pls do share.

Worked as a mechanic for a few years and this is how the aftersales program should work. The urgency comes from the manufacturer and the dealer is responsible for informing you about everything you need, upcoming services, updates and so on. Not sure what the update is, but I doubt it's something critical, so you'll probably get some functionalities and stuff like that. Keeping it up to date is a good idea so I wouldn't skip on this update. Also, you can ask the dealer to tell you what the update brings

I totally understand how that comes across as a bit pushy, especially when the details are all fuzzy. Chances are, it's just a minor system patch or a map update, nothing to stress about. Did they say if it can be done over-the-air, or will you have to swing by the dealership? It might be a good idea to find out what's really included in the update before you book anything.

Heard it's likely a routine software patch to fix minor bugs, improve system stability or prep for future features like connected services. Theres been no major announcement about it, so unless you're having issues, it's probably not urgent... but no harm in getting it done if it's quick and free.

A friend of mine who has a 2025 Tucson mentioned that his screen kept rebooting randomly until he updated it last week. While it didn't solve all the issues, he did say it at least stopped that strange problem with the GPS voice skipping.
